Damien, Belinda and Dave Morris-Munns (the adopted son) fly in from Barcelona. No airport pick up, but a 5 litre beer flagon is personally delivered to Arena Dreams apartment by Ernesto himself (the personal touch is what keeps ET in front of the pack).

... what a dirty ****** sewer of a city. The canals and waterways, however ancient, have the feel of some cheap ill-conceived tourist attraction. The gondolas look like they're all piloted by local prison inmates on a day release program, and the water busses, which seem to be the primary mode of transport, are slow, uncomfortable, hot and look like they were probably used to transport Italian troops during the First World War. especially Carmen. The way they staged the story was exciting with something
happening all the time. It certainly was unforgettable. The dancing (Spanish) was also excellent. Didn’t get home to bed until 2 am – bit late for Craig and Lina but we enjoyed
every minute. Some days you never forget – this is one of them.

... clothes sections pulling out lots of items on sale. We stocked up on trousers, tops and jackets and now just have to work out how to fit it all in! At the end of Via Manzini a quick right turn and you're at Juliette's balcony. It was as expected overrun by tourists and we were in and out quickly getting the required photos of the boys man-handling the statue of Juliette. It was getting time for a drink and we headed to the nearby square which has ...
