... queue. I was a bit stunned to see army with full blown guns walking around, and so many police on the streets, best keep my bag close if it's that bad, ha. Then we had a big walk around before hanging out at the laundromat on our street to do some much needed washing. Once the house keeping was finished we headed out again for yes more food! Early night both of us are ...

I'm sitting in the Emirates departure lounge in Geneva waiting to board my flight to Sydney via Dubai in 50 minutes. It’s now 1.45 pm local time and I’ve just saw via the SMH site that South Sydney have won their first rugby league championship since 1971. We started the day with a 30 minute walk from Ouchy to Pully where Barbara and Claude live - a walking track along the shores of lake Geneva, passing the Olympic Museum and lots of beautiful gardens. ... beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages. Nice gathering and networking session.

Unfortunately we had to make like Cinderella at 21:45. Not trains becoming pumpkins but if we didn't get to the train station to catch our train, we'd be looking to couch-surf or for a hotel in Lausanne for the night.

Rushed goodbyes, we made it to and on the train.

Returned to Lucerne around 1:00 AM and Fasnacht was going strong, or at least the partying was.

... did!! I was wearing my aerobic shoes from the 90's. Before heading out my friend told me that the shoes were a little "dated" and that they only last for a certain period of time. Of course I didn't really believe her...until a few moments later. Incredible..the whole sole just ripped apart!! Just from a little running. It happened to one shoe and then 5min later, the other shoe fell apart as well. It was freakin hilarious!!
