Wine - start to almost finish
We returned from Lecce on 7 Sept and spent the weekend preparing for our upcoming journey on 11 September as Monday was the day for picking the grapes and making the wine. We were up and at it by 7.30 at the first property riding there on the back of the Piaggo - a small three wheeled ute - together with buckets and tubs. The long lunch
... of little donut like snacky biscuits - to be cooked into the pizza oven - almost the only thing she ate all day. Lecce.....2nd visit
... for a party it would seem! We made it down to S.Andrea where we were amazed at the wall to wall beach umbrellas and bronzed bodies!
