We also found out there was a bus to take you either East to Punta Cana, or North to Puerto Plata. We decided we would try to go to Punta Cana before I had to leave.

    ... only covered about 1 mile each way, but most of it is spent swimming/trudging through water/rocks, or being thrown up the rapids by the guides. The way back down is even better, because you're either jumping or sliding down the rapids.
