Bit of a slacker today, getting up at 0615. Shower and still no wifi luck. The Algerian Committee was first down for brekkie, the Chancellor of the Exchequer joining. Omar said he had email. I brought my computer to his [third] floor and it worked fine. It appeared there was no initial fifth floor connection but it worked thereafter having established a link. He showed me some pix of him and Ratik in Algiers. Took the bag down c 0830.

      Day 9 & 10

The following morning we headed towards Djerba, a tourist island near the Libyan border. The roads were good, and after a short ferry trip costing only 0.800 TD (Less than R5) for all of us plus Corrie, we arrive on the island around midday. We found a little place on the beach were a room for 4 was only 4TD more than camping, so we stayed there for two days, within 20m of the sea. ...
