... highlights of our little tour was when we stopped at one of the stalls that was selling candle light covers of various designs. One in particular had a design of sailing ships and lighthouses to which Johanna's mother exclaimed "Urgh, so typisch Norddeutsch"....having experienced as much of Germany as I had, this internal joke reminiscent of England's North-South divide gave me a warm chuckle.

... grill, a small serving table, a couch and ottoman for two, and a couple of small lounge chairs. There are 8 train tracks running constantly behind the house, but in a matter of minutes you really don't notice the noise, unless a heavy cargo train comes rolling by.

Also on this floor, Kate and Till have a cozy little den with a leather sectional couch and a nice recliner for Till. Liam has a few baskets of toys here, but keeps his play area very tidy. The den opens up into ...

... have been good (or coal if they haven’t been)!! In my shoe was a bottle of spekulatsius liquor and in Eddie’s 2 blocks of the local Haschez chocolate!!! Let Christmas begin!

The next morning Eddie swept the snow from our sidewalk and it continued to snow on and off all day, little showers, then a lot, then hail. It was quite a wonderful weather event for us! We took some photos in the town square when it was snowing and it was just lovely ...

... and boat lock. Had lunch with Horst at 1.30pm. We walked to the Knurrhahn Fish restaurant in the old city past the underpass opposite the steak house. ... for free - however as I was no long studying in Bremen I was quite prepared to pay the €5 entry - but luckily after a mix of blagging, and showing out of date German ID as well as my Hertfordshire ID I managed to get in for free once more.
