... large number of sarees. I mean I had never seen that many sarees, that many clothes lying at one place.

Once I got sarees for awfully cheap price, we went home. Then I rested there for sometime, before going to the bus stand to catch my bus to Udaipur.

About Surat, I must say this. If anyone is planning to by sarees for ceremonies like weddings, Surat is the place to be. The length and breadth of the textile market there is as big as a small town....

Spent a very short time in Vanesa, which is where Hirals dad is from. Since they are building a new house there...we were sent to do some interior decorating. This task actually made us excited to build our own home...but I'm not sure exactly when that's going to happen. ... but the Kailsa Temple (cave 16) just took my breath away. I can't truly describe how in awe I felt just sat trying to take it all in. Mid way through my afternoon walk around the site I stopped at their tourist canteen and had a beer before heading up on top to peer down into the temple. ... get the taxis at the railway station. Walk a little further and then board a taxi.

  • There are no sleeper buses from Delhi to Manali, only semi sleeper.
  • The buses never leave on time and never reach on time. The whole private bus network works like that.
  • Our entire trip was planned based on the places featured in Must See India ...

... a seat in the air-con wedding car! The car arrived just down the road from the wedding hall and moved slowly following a musical cart and dancers. It was a long process to get to the hall (about an hour and a half!) but it is part of the tradition for the car to follow dancers and the wedding guests to walk alongside. The wedding ceremony took about 3hrs and finished with food before we all returned back to Dips family's ...
