A travel blog entry by cjwagsy on Sep 30, 2014

We've spent so much time walking around, exploring and taking in all the sights and sounds that it's been a little overwhelming, and with a trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius coming up the next day, it felt like a day for some R&R. In the morning, at breakfast in the hostel, we made some new friends. One was Tara, who was also staying in our room, and the other was Shayne. Rooms were big compared to others in Europe, they had a very friendly staff, and breakfast was included in our booking. We paid about 180 - 190 Euros a night. Hotel Ester: Located very close to the train station, this budget friendly hotel (100 Euros a night - a steal in Florence in ...

... you all get plates of pasta. They were so welcoming! I was really happy to just sit there and listen and watch...and eat. :) And wow...so many courses, one after the other. We were served first. First was squid pasta, then BBQ chicken, then I think pork tripe, BBQ rabbit, then sausages, then eggplant parmigiana, watermelon, and 4 kinds of dessert. And lots ...
