On Saturday, we took a day off the bike and traveled to Giglio Island, one of the largest islands of the Tuscan archipelago. There are hundreds of islands off the Tuscan coast. Elba is the largest while Montecristo is one of the most famous.

Giglio is well known, too. It is a beautiful setting dominated but a castle with commanding views in all directions, a rare Italian sandy beach, unique vegetation ...
