    ... the building is supposed to house the city orchestra, but cost blowouts and construction delays mean that it still isn't finished. It was supposed to cost 241 Million Euros and be finished in 2010, but four years later and it still isn't finished. The current estimate is an opening in 2017 at a total cost of 789 Million Euros! I can't imagine what a room at the hotel there will cost!

    ... down to walk to get to the bottom. The lighting of the tunnel looked really cool and great for some jump photos! Everyone joined in on the act and we got some great shots. The dome housing the car lifts is really huge in comparison to the tiny tunnel.

    ... 110kms up the Elbe River from the North Sea.

    We walked into town along the Spitalerstraße Mall and had a look in at a few shops. After lunch we noticed the large Stadtfest happening all around the Binnenalster and went to take a quick look. Right next to the Binnenalster is the Rathaus (town hall), which is absolutely huge and really reminds me of the one in Brussels.
