    As I write , we have just pulled into a railway station, which has an enormous parking station, just for bikes, and is a commercial centre, what with all the shops, mainly offering food.

    ... things as well even before Jess gave it to me. In Henrik's study I plugged my phone into his PC, and it charged no problems. Phew! So I guess it's the charger. I wonder if it was the charger that broke the Kindle? Either way I don't trust it anymore so I have now thrown the charger in the bin, and I will buy a different one tomorrow on the way to Berlin.
