... I thought I was ready to, at least look like a normal person riding a bike, but no, this time the seat that had just been changed was starting to go down because we hadn't tightened up the screw enough, which just didn't work.

So, for the past week we have been catching the bus and walking, while we wait for the bike to be taken to the repair shop for the brakes and lights to be fixed...

Hamburg was pretty cool. We were there for only 3-ish days, and didn't do a whole lot other than walk around a bit.

I finally made the decision with the dress present I wanted to buy, so my first task for the day was getting to the store to purchase that early enough to give me enough time to get to the station. This really isn't that big a challenge ordinarily, but remember only two days ago I never made it out for a long time! But I did make it in plenty of time, and didn't get wet, so I was happy! Once ...

      A day exploring Hamburg

We decided not to have breakfast at the hotel. We went straight to the waterfront where wanted to see our first museum. We couldn't believe how nice it was. Lots of development going on, but it was somewhat like Canary Wharf in London, just with more brick and less glass. There were canals and old warehouses and wide pedestrian areas. And no graffiti! We sat at a cafe next to a canal and identified a breakfast for ...
