We are back in Europe and after picking up our car from the long term car park at Lyon airport, we drove for several hours before spending the night in Le Puy-en Velay. The following day we continued on to Najac to spend a few days with Paul and Margaret, before continuing en route to Portugal. In le Puy, we had a wonderful meal in our hotel, the …

Today we decided (after the excitement of yesterday) we would have a relaxing day. So after getting up when it got too warm in the funbus, we had a typical English breakfast with a French twist, bacon and fried egg on a baguette that's now 2 of the 3 packets of bacon we bought with us gone! P.S I have never been so scared in all my life, but Andy loved it. ...

... young. It was a nice smooth ride and amazing how fast it goes. We had only a few stops along the way and it got us from Paris to Montpellier in less than three hours. We were able to get to the car rental place and to the car without much issue, but then came the stress of driving in France. We were a bit worried, as the GPS that I brought along had not been working very well, but luckily the car has a GPS system ...

Hi from Lajo a little hamlet 3 days into our walk. Thanks for your comments on the blog. We haven't met or heard any English speaking people except for 2 Aussie women (no Americans or Brits or Canadians). While walking, we encounter very few people. Today we met only one other backpacker and then 3 people at a cafe 3 hours into the walk. It is much different than the Spanish Camino as there are not very many ...
