    ... a very charming and almost bustling small town. Was rushing while writing in the Office de Tourisme as they were about to close, but now at the bar where we are having a beer, there is excellent wifi, so will add a bit more detail.     ... at 4 pm and took forever to check everyone in, some just drop-in hopefuls that he helped by ringing other places....we finally got into our room, and are happily unwinding. Dinner is here tonight, so now downtime. Have to add a little about dinner. It seems that this is a Gite just for walkers, and we have found out that we have one of the double rooms, but most are in group sleeping rooms....     ... 8364;17) and it was superb! Lentils featured a lot as that is another thing Le Puy is known for (Puy lentils), and again these dishes were SO artistic as well as delicious. We both had a lentil salad, with salmon and veg, and Amr had a sausage main and I had veal. Now back, showered, sticks and hats ready to go, bags packed, ready for tomorrow's walk. Meant to be 24 kms, and mostly uphill....hopefully today's MANY steps will have been good ...

    ... and saw the fireman shutting the roads around the volcanic outcrops so our camp,site was on the right side of town for viewing. This was confirmed as we got near the campsite and everyone was finding their spot right outside our campsite. We made a quick drink and grabbed our camping chairs to join the locals on the roadside.
