Heading south we spent a night in Mar del Plata, another large city on the coast. Nothing special about the town except it is the second largest beach town in the country and does indeed have a very wide beach that was crowded even as the sun was setting. It's surrounded by very flat, very fertile farmland. What strikes me most is how little we know about this country. Seems like people either live in huge cities or in very isolated, tiny villages.

Not had a whiff of instant since back in Argentina and even
had a filter coffee machine in the apartment, a real treat to wake up to.

I had no idea what time breakfast or check out was today. I decided to go down for 9; breakfast was instant coffee and bread. I often eat one piece of toast with dulce de leche, which is pretty much caramel. I always wonder if the locals judge me for using it because it does not seem normal. ... I saw one skirt, but zero dresses. Another weird thing about this is they display dresses in the shop windows. I wonder if they only wear the on special occasions; The houses in Mar Del Plata are amazing. They are huge and beautiful. However, Nacho said most of them are owned by rich people who don't live here, so they are mostly empty; There appears to be an afternoon haze that comes over the city for a few hours; I hate English; Eggs ...
