    ... with amazing views of both the sea and Mt Etna, then through town to the Messina gate (facing the town), went to the post office, had 3 different types of "Arancini" - rice balls, walked more then stopped for a couple of drinks, back to our meeting place & transferred to our bus then onto our hotel.

    ... on the subway you kinda pretend that the people next to you are not there with no one saying hello or chatting. You have to be quite quiet and just sit still there is no running around and playing beach cricket like we do in New Zealand. About an hour was enough for us and we were off on our travels.     Today we had an early start to the day to cram as much sightseeing in as possible. I found my croissant filled with custard this morning. Amazing! We hit the road for Camerano in the Conero National Park. Yesterday we booked a tour through the Grotte di Camerano (Camerano Caves), which is a labyrinth of underground tunnels and caves used by the Camerano family for secret meetings and, I think, at one point a prison.
