... first full day we walked to the closest beach, Praia Amor (love), accessible only by climbing down steep staircases or rock ledges. This beach is also called 'drowning' beach because of the strong riptides. They even have volunteer lifeguards for the surfers and swimmers. After several hours of sunbathing, we decided to walk further, to another beach accessible at low tide which was also marked as a turtle nesting area, as they had numbered each nest ...

... travel since I had left England and the rush of my party behind me, so I just wanted to relax, sleep, eat lots of nice food and swim in the warm sea ! That´s exactly what I did for a whole week. I spent a week here, going to the beach every day and even tried some fishing. ... not a huge crowd there but a good 20 USA fans or so and approximately even number of Belgium fans and then a mix of Brazilians. It was a rough one to watch when Wondo missed the goal, and then it all went down hill. At the end of the game the Belgium group went insane as expected but one guy came over and said our guys played a respectable tournament. So we took a picture with him to mark the moment of our loss and his win. He was very nice guy who chose to not rub it ...

... could actually go for a camel ride. Bruce and I wanted to do it, but couldn't find anyone to pay. So we gave up on it, and decide to head down to the beach for drinks and inevitably lunch. Our driver drove us past this restaurant that was right on the water, and as we drove past it, he suggested we eat there for lunch later. He said the food is really good. Given the size of the man, I can tell he is someone who loves his food as much as I do, so I was willing go with ...
