We had a lazy morning the first since we arrived. Then we said goodbye to Lausanne and drag our cases to the train station for the trip to Zurich. When we were checking out we found out we didn't have breakfast included that was a shock to the wallet as we had been having breakfast every morning at $60 a pop. On the way to Zurich we noticed announcements changed from French to German around Bern which is halfway along. It is a beautiful day here ...

This is the most historic part of Zurich including a statue adjacent to a fountain that commemorates the defence of Zurich by the women of Zurich from Albert I of Germany in 1291. On the way home, the boys had a quick kick of the soccer ball and then we headed home for dinner. It was a lovely home cooked dinner, the kids were happy to watch a dvd after their dinner and then we watched the fireworks for Swiss National Day about 9.30pm. Then it was kiddie bed time and we a few more drinks and then off to ...

    Get the luggage.

Both of us have never had any sort of luggage issues or mishaps during our individual travels... and those started on our first trip together - see China 2011 travel blog - and even continued (huh?) when we travelled separately to visit one or the other.

I find myself reluctant to check luggage these days.

Yes, both arrived - yippee - we are not jinxed.
    This time.

Swiss Customs Hall. Pure efficiency. All in ...
