... The next day we were leaving early for Guatemala so I prepared by buying lunch from Oxxo. It's a small minimart kind of shop that is more numerous than Starbucks in NYC - there's literally three on every street - And the only sandwiches they serve are ham! Ham and cheese, ham and Turkey, ham and pepper. Rather inconvenient for the travelling Jew... ... out the hotel has messed up the room bookings and me and Dimi have each got our own room yay!! Two nights in my own room! Sat down at the wine and tapas bar for pre dinner drinks...3 hours and 4 beers and 2/3 bottle of wine later (and a bit of pasta as stomach lining), Ernesto took us to the cafe Revolucion for some hip swinging action till the early hours of 2am....He got some action as well from one of the tour girls ;) V and mini V (our party mode is switched on :) ...

Where we got to was impressive enough though with an intense contrast between the jet black ash/dirt and the vivid green of the few plants that have managed to grow since the last eruption in 2010.
