Hotel Real Inter-Continental Metrocentro Managua

... tijd gehad...veel gelezen...gezwommen in de heldere zee...en ik heb alle middagen met Andrea in de keuken gestaan om toetjes te maken van de vruchten uit de tuin, te weten; verschillende soorten avocates, mango´s, piña´s, verschillende soorten kokosnoten, noni´s, breadfruit, tamarinde, naranga´s en limoenen....het werd iedere dag een feestje! Samen maakte we de lekkerste diches...tzaziki van avocado´s, we aten bijna iedere dag vis (baracuda met naranja, langouste met ...

... een huishoudster welke 6 dagen per week (op zondag niet....dat is nou weer jammer) alle huishoudelijke werkzaamheden doet (afwassen, stofzuigen, dweilen, etc.....behalve strijken).

Vanmorgen zijn we op pad geweest naar een aantal naastgelegen dorpen en naar een schitterend meer.....niet lopend maar te paard. We hadden gisteren een tour geboekt en waren ...

... in the village bought some strings, had breakfast and then asked some children of the village to catch some crabs for us. Breaking away their legs we attached them at our self made fishing-rod, climed on a tree and tried to fish some. Eventually we ended up with nothing in our hands and only the idea in our heads to go and get some beer. ... it was delicious I tell you. Checked out the museum for a bit and took a bunch of pictures. Ran into some folks and ended up wandering the streets around 3am. Just like home... We took a bus to Managua this morning on our quest to make it to Mexico! We met a lovely couple on the bus who we decided to spend the day and night with, so we blagged them a free room at our hostel in the false cover of reporters for our website! Nice work we thought! In exchange for a free room they insisted on cooking us dinner. Who are we to refuse?! So we had the most amazing lentil stew for a late afternoon meal. Time starting to become prominent in or minds we decided to miss the coast and head in what seemed a natural progression to Granada. Managua is not the nicest place in Nicaragua, so we only stayed there a night as we arrived late on the plane. In the morning we left the hostel to try and find an ATM and started walking in one direction and the man at the hostel said no, and pointed us in another direction! Now, we have no idea if he thought we wanted the bus stop that was where he pointed us, or whether if we walked the other way we would have got shot!! Our Spanish is not that good!! We never ...

I slept well during the night, no bug problems. I woke up once and noticed that a light was on in the girls' room. When I opened the door, they all gasped in fear and fell off the bed! When they saw the door move, they thought whatever was making noises was going to get them. We found out later that it was lizards. They are small and loud but only poisonous if you touch them ...
