... straight roads right now, but Slovenia here I come, then Croatia.
I'm ashamed to say I've now done both Slov's in one day, one day I will come back and see them properly.
The change between borders still never surprises me, it's so odd how neighbours are so different, and another strange thing is how different they smell, you won't get that in a car, but on the bike it's really odd.

Day 2, we visited the beach and then biked around the Lake. What a great way to get around. This morning, I headed up to Bled Castle - and I do mean up - lots of stairs! It was quite a climb. The castle dates from 1100AD, and has been added to over the centuries, and following damage in 1511 was restored to its current appearance. It was mostly used for defence and as a result has no large luxurious halls. Instead it ...

... as long as possible and had a beautiful meal looking out over the lake. We joked about how romantic it was as the pianist played love songs and we shared a cake. We decided that, when we are older, wiser and maybe with the men of our dreams, we will return to Lake Bled for longer. It truly is a hidden wonder of Slovenia. After Slovenia, we took our last train to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, to start the next leg of our journey. 4 counties in 7 days is ...
