I learned that years ago many British people bought into the Slovenian real estate market hoping for returns ...

After I got back to Bled, I went for a walk around the lake in the gathering dusk. It was another pretty walk, with changing views of the island and castle.
That night, in our rather lovely hotel, Kayla and I slept with the window open to let in the fresh, peaceful country air - no noisy traffic here!

... a few cities, being in the mountains and walking around Lake Bled was a welcome change. As you walk down the sloping paths, you are suddenly presented by the turquoise lake that is surrounded by trees and the tips of mountains in the distant. We instantly fell in love with the place. Not one cloud was scattered in the sky and the water was completely still with gentle ripples where the swans and ducks would glide. In the very centre of the lake lies an ...
