      ... We drove to Santa Severina which is a town of just over 2000 people. Drove up the hill in fading light and rain and had a look around, there was a castle from the 1100s and the views fabulous hope the pictures do it justice, made my day. Jenny read about it in a Novel by an English couple who moved there after a holiday. On way home bought a classy €3.25 bottle of red.       ... in shape and another gorgeous white town. Once again voted in as a pretty village. Apparently every year it is compulsory to white wash all the buildings and so it really looked clean, white and very pretty. Instead of 'trullis' it has 'truddhis' with tops which have peaked gabled rooves instead and do seem bigger.       We had another great day. Slower start and then we drove firstly to Ostuni – this is a white hilltop town about 30 minutes south from Alberobello. BTW Alberobello means beautiful tree and there are sure plenty round here. Craig and I first saw Ostuni from a distance on the train and I was very keen to see it.
