... an extremely successful travel agent, if ya know...people still actually used those. I used nearly every type of transportation this week and navigated my way with flying colors! We never missed a bus or a flight, and we may have messed up on the metro, but that was easily fixed. I was really proud of myself! I think that trip might be my last big, complicated excursion that I want to plan, but at least I know that I'm capable! And I'm not even broke yet!!

... Quite easy to get around although I didn't go into the old town section. I got my bus ticket for Naples for tomorrow. 10 euro. My bloody email isn't working. I don't think I'm going to be able to get it unblocked while I'm away. Absolute pain! So if anyone needs to contact me either send a text message in my phone or message via FB (either public or private). You can also leave a comment on the blog site but it's out there in the ...

... been hard in the old days for people here. The Trulli houses would have been very cold in winter and probably hot in summer. No power or running water. This area was a very poor area of Italy. The food from here is called Cucina Povera meaning something like peasant food. It's good wholesome food. In demand now. Back in Martina Franca and I love the old area. In the dusk light it just looks beautiful. Especially the Church. There's always a lot of old ...

... old Italy anyway). I had also planned to go by bus to Alberobello to see the Trulli houses. Too wet for that too. I've decided to stay here for an extra 2 days so hopefully I'll be able to get there. Weather forecast doesn't look great though. I'm really liking this little town. It's so picturesque in the Centro storico. I'm loving the little unit too. Fully self contained, very clean and only 30 euro a night. ...

... the school times are but the train left Lecce at 12.45 and they were getting off at different stops so obviously finished school. We keep passing fields of solar panels. Good! As we get closer to MF it starts to get a little but hillier. Lots of terraces now. And stone fruit blossom. We pass a lot of the little trulli houses. They're so cute. Look like fairy houses, or hobbit houses. They're everywhere. Beautiful countryside. It's still raining when the train arrives in MF ...
