We set out on our adventure at 5:45 am - only 45 behind schedule! We were making good time until we got just outside Slidell, LA where somebody got the brilliant idea to shut down a lane of the freeway for a minor repair without a plan to reroute the traffic. 2 hours and 15 minutes to travel 12 miles later and our ETA is now 12:15AM - ugh!
