Last Two Days
... I packed up and checked out; then Virginia, the innkeeper, gave me a ride to Lisa and Helena's. We figured out what train I will take to Florence later today, then went to say goodbye to Sylvia & Sergio -- again not done without a glass of wine, this time a French champagne! Thanksgiving Dinner
... and stories. Well... the sign language helped. It was great... the perfect Thanksgiving dinner! And... what is on the schedule today? Why... Shopping naturalmente!! Still at It
... the only guest staying at the Locanda. Every morning Virginia comes to get breakfast and caffe for me, cleans my room, and then closes up. I let myself in each night when I get back from the day's activities. The restaurant is only open on the weekends. I am picking up more Italian words here and there. More and More Olives
On Thursday... Up early to pick olives at The Villa. Friends of Lisa & Helena's own a large (5 bedroom) villa that can be rented out when the owners are away. Giovanni is responsible for harvesting the olives so everyone helps because he is such a sweetheart. There are maybe 50 trees, some very small and 6 or so of substantial size.
