    ... hanging on TIGHTLY. After jumping off at the top (once again, you literally jump out of the cage) I photographed Kent in his little cage. There was a group of small children in the basilica and it turned out they were there to rehearse for the bambino ceri race. We watched as they practiced lifting the ceri and then they had a rehearsal of the race around the courtyard.     A long day of travelling today to get from Venice to Gubbio in Umbria. From Venice we caught a train to Bologna where we jumped almost immediately on another train heading to Ancona. At Ancona there was a quick stop for lunch before we caught another train. The final leg was by bus to Gubbio. We left Venice at 7:42am and arrived at our hotel in Gubbio at 3:30pm.     Today we had an early start to the day to cram as much sightseeing in as possible. I found my croissant filled with custard this morning. Amazing! We hit the road for Camerano in the Conero National Park. Yesterday we booked a tour through the Grotte di Camerano (Camerano Caves), which is a labyrinth of underground tunnels and caves used by the Camerano family for secret meetings and, I think, at one point a prison.     Pesaro also boasts many museums and lists art works on its tourist maps such as a giant ball in the Piazzale della Liberta. We found this sculpture by Arnaldo Pomodoro a bit funny as a pomodoro in Italian is a tomato - does that make the big ball - a big tomato? On closer inspection of the 'big tomato' we discovered it is a fountain as well.
