    The Lows and the Highs

    Actually, we did the highs first. We drove to a town called Gubbio, inland from us (back towards Perugia really), where we tried out their "cable car". These consist of small cages, each containing a maximum of two people, that go up the side of the mountain to a basilica at the top.

    Fortunately the weather started out well, so despite the odd spot of rain, there was little or no wind, and jumpers were enough to keep us comfortable! ...

    ... in Florence, then Venice then Rome.. We will head to our hotel and drop off luggage then take train to Florence for half a day. On the high speed train it takes about 40 min... then we will come back later in the evening and then Sat morning take the train to Venice ( about 1.5 hrs)... We have a gondola ride booked for 3 pm Saturday....
    Well short and sweet today!!

    ... up to us( more new friends of Evan, Carly,Gunntha and Rose) and tell how how much they enjoyed watching the show and Evan & Carly.... One of the young fellas danced for about 5-6 years with Joffrey Ballet.. what a nice compliment for the kids!.. They also were singing outside in front of the theatre!! Amazing!! OK so we haven't eaten since 1 pm, it's now after 11 pm.. try one restaurant - but closing so head to "brunos". the local hang out it ...

    ... town of San Michele in Le Marche, and he and my nonni Flora raised their family in Natick, Massachusetts, along with many others in the family tree who came over. We have countless relatives - cugini - who live near San Michele and my great aunt Italia still lives in the farm house that my great great grandfather bought over a century ago.

    We have made this pilgrimage many times before, and this is the third time as an official family reunion ...
