    ... told us of the local dish which was to be the evening dinner special it was called Truffade. We later on went with that, it consisted of potatoe fried with bacon in Cantelle cheese , basically a fondue served with a crisp green salad and procuitto on the side, the idea was to mix it all up on your plate and man it was good.

    ... for Volvic waters. Booked in and set up the temperature read 30.5c I was melting, we made for the pool complex and spent the rest of the afternoon in and out of the water.     First we had to negotiate ourselves out of the car park and into the Aires car park, which we did with much miming and sign language, our French not being as good as our poor German. Clermont-Ferrand, we discovered, is Michelin tyre city. The head office and an enormous factory were situated just next to our camp spot.
