    The visit came to an end and we drove back to Lake Chapala. We got stopped by the Mexican authorities 3 times on the way home. Police and military check points are typical in Northern Mexico since most of the drug activity and weapons smuggling happens here. We were treated well and they never searched our truck.     In Monterrey, we ran into some construction where they split the westbound lanes with the left 2 being express lanes, we went left knowing that we did not want to stop. Without us realizing when it happened, a couple of lanes of eastbound traffic were routed between the westbound lanes. Everything is different in Mexico.

    ... no funny graduation hats and only the teachers and a few graduates wore robes. I found out that only the masters graduates wore them.
