From Bagkok to London to Porto
The day after... Get everything out of the car, get it ready to go directly to Rio for the South America Challenge starting on Feb 14th. In between we arranged for it to be serviced in Thailand... Then pack our bags and prepare to board a midnight flight to Heathrow... Great memories of the last three weeks, of old and new frienda and of a very enjoyable event... See you in Rio next ...

Missed breakfast which is unusual for me. Walked down the main shopping drag. We were looking for lunch when a disheveled old man staggered and collapsed in front of us. I was first to him but a more useful lady who could speak Portuguese was next. He rolled over and had a bleeding gash in his forehead. An ambulance was called and the lady calmed him and pressed the wound . I helped him into a chair but that's all. The way he fell is what worried me the ...

... I got tongue, tripe, fat, skin, bone and sausage in a bean and tomato sauce. I got through most of it, it didn't taste bad per say but it was hard to eat. Bit of a walk, bit of a siesta and then we geared up for the pub crawl. It was probably the highest level of involvement I've seen a hostel get. We had dinner and drinks there and then went out together. It was a good night, drinks were unbelievably cheap. ...
Interesting architecture and port in Porto
... aged ports that you can get at home. But maybe it was just the buzz that got us spending. :)
Once we left the winery, the sun finally came out! All day long we were talking about how much prettier the city would be with sun, and we did get to see it. When the sun set and we couldn't explore anymore, we bought some art, ate dinner on the river, then headed back to our hotel to rest our feet. Porto is not for non-walkers!
