If any of you are interested in our travels I can add your email ...

Southampton, England, United Kingdom sophianrachaelThis will be my third trip to Australia, and this time I've decided to take my time and soak up the atmosphere and scenary. I'm going to sit on beaches, wile away afternoons in beachside bars, stroll through forests and explore quiet hillside and seaside towns. And most of it's going to be in a ...
Winchester, Hampshire, United Kingdom ian_c... Guy Fawkes is basically a celebration of the foiled attempt to blow up the houses of Parliament many many years ago. So we spent the night setting off fire works, eating burgers and hotdog, drinking some beer and wine! It wasn't without incident with the he fire works though! I managed to stand in the way of a rocket, but luckily no damage was done!

That's basically all that happened and what we did before we jumped on the train to London and the start of the trip around Europe!
Reading / Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom markandnoma2009... we watched a show every night except one and an English pub called the rising Sun where a pint of Boddingtons cost £2.60. Very reasonable I thought. Anyway for the first time in eleven days we were looking at rain and gloom, but by the time we got to the Railway Station is was brightening up a bit. the trip back to Scarborough and then on to Whitby was uneventful. We were home for 19:00.
Southampton, England, United Kingdom mickinwhitby... it was a lovely evening, more cider if I remember rightly. I found out about what my brother Phil got up to while he was staying with them back in 1987!!! Apparently spunky is a rude word for something else in England!! And he frightened poor Frank one night by sliding his car across the gravel out the front of one of the pubs!!!
I definitely have to go back to the New Forest.. if not for the great people but the great outdoor life you can live there.
Ringwood, England, United Kingdom sares12Visited this town while I was visiting my Uncle in Portsmouth. Its a lovely little place, well not little but seems about the size of Newcastle. Not that I have seen its outskirts etc.

When I arrived I went to have a look at the old wall and the old castles etc set up by Henry the VI I think. But it started to pour down so I went ...
Southampton, England, United Kingdom sares12... alley near the Bridge of Sighs. We would never have found the place had Dave not asked a local student for a pub recommendation. Lunch consisted of bangers and mash and chicken pie, and of course a good bitters. Mom was a blast at the pub and walking around after, probably due in large part to the pint of Brains Bitter that she had with her meal. In summary, it was a pleasant visit although it would have been much better had it not been so cold.
Oxford, United Kingdom jacque_sttrapI woke up really early to the neighbors dog yapping away. I am sure you would have heard it all the way to Scotland. Finally Sonya went and brought her (that dogs name is Lady and is Bobs girlfriend apparently) over to spend the day with us. Sonya and her neighbors all have a dog club of sorts and they even come over to each others houses to take the dogs on field trips. So we had not two, but three bounding beasts chasing each other around ...
Andover, United Kingdom whereshegoes... fare all the while checking out the other outfits which ranged from male Lara Crofts to Star Wars to Immodest Nuns on Skateboards. The next day, we slept in then Andy and I went out to do some errands. As it was my last days in England, Sonya made a fabulous roast chicken dinner and we had banana splits (with 'sugar strands'...aka sprinkles) for dessert. We watched the Miss World pagent and cheered everytime Miss Canada showed up on the screen. Nice to know ...
