    Great hotel after yummy breakfast left at8 30am biiking with Margaret and Richard (aussies)
    Riding through the vine yards and lovely old villages stopped at small cafe at Rovereto early where locals were drinking beer wine not enough chairs so lady moved all the locals to same tables so there was a free one for us ,they make nice coffee over here john asked for hot chocolate he got a cup of hot mousse (he thinks) want order one of those ...

    A morning shower (cos we could!) and straight back to the police station in Sondrio to sort out Lis' working holiday visa. It took a while, but she got it! Great success! We headed back towards Bormio and stopped at Tirano. After a quick lunch we went for a cruise on the bikes. It's warm today! We rode past many apple orchards (we may have taken a couple; for quality control purposes, of course!), vineyards, fig and nectarine trees, and up some very steep roads! ...

    Early start this morning, walked round the corner to the rental car company and collected our Fiat 500 for our drive over the Stelvio pass. The little Fiat drives very well and raced along the autostrada at 110 with everyone else. We had about a 100km drive through the rich orchard area of the South Tirol to get to the pass.     ... have I experienced so many car horns, shouts or near crashes as we did in a mere 10 metres of car park, it's a danger zone; do not approach! Secondly and obviously more importantly was the amazing wall outlines, sculptures and art that the locals create with firewood. It was astounding how quaint it made the village feel as each pile of wood seemed to create a work of art which wouldn't be out of place in a contemporary art museum.
