... never to go on that kind of tour, no matter how decrepit we become. We have enough independence in us to resist such a tour. It sounded ghastly. ... great sermon illustration. We only discover we are headed in the wrong direction when someone is able to show us we are going the wrong way. ... in we head over the bridge covered in padlocks to visit the cathedral. It must have been one of the few buildings to remain after Cologne was heavily bombed.

... and extremely well maintained. Calculated our walk it was just over 5km so a good stroll! We picked up our dirty clothes on way through as had identified a laundromat dropped the clothes off and headed for a takeaway lunch - bratwurst hotdog and curry wurst all for €9.00 including iced tea.
