Nothing fancy but clean, old style hotel right on the banks of Lake Como (or Lake Lecco if you are a local). Very well located on the banks of the lake opposite the city, with views over the city. Close to a number of restaurants and within walking distance of the city centre.

... buses to get to our hostel. After about an hour that included bus rides and lots of stairs, we arrived at the hostel, where we dropped off our stuff and left to explore the city.
We first went to try to figure out the busses and trains (Abby wanted to go to Pisa the next day) in the lower city. However, we were at a loss and gave up on that idea. We headed to the Citta Alta, which is the upper medieval city ...
We woke and went straight to breakfast at the Hotel Adele...I was still half asleep. Back to the room where we packed for our train ride to Milan and headed out. We walked the 1 km to the train station, which seemed long until we got to Milan. :-) The train was a fun experience, not many passengers and very comfortable. It was a nice chance to see the northern Italian countryside go by as ...
