    Since leaving Basel two days ago the scenery on our trip has changed quite markedly. No more following towpaths beside pretty waterways with barges and swans. Our trip out of Basel seemed to go endlessly through suburban and industrial areas, around roadworks with unsigned detours which, on a foggy morning, was quite uninspiring.

    We checked out and took a quick drive up to Bad Mergentheim, which is a place that has been on our to-do list for quite some time. Last year we couldn't squeeze this into our last day!
