we finally arrive, after twisting jules arm relentlessly, but too late for the bus, cannot wait for two more hours, so we jump in a taxi only to find we have booked ourselves into the gulag, no i mean it. we are staying in prisoner cell block F. we think of crying, but dont want to show fear to the locals.<br><br>we do manage to find a ...
Karlovy Vary, Karlovarský Kraj, Czech Republic l_i_s_a_c... other complaints.<br><br>We enjoyed our stop even though it wasn’t what we were expecting. We have a cute little china cup for our Christmas tree decoration.<br><br>We are close to the German border so we use all our Krouns for diesel and leave Czech Republic. It most certainly is a beautiful country along the west side. We passed fields and fields of poppyflower heads. It must have been beautiful when they were all in bloom!
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic dancejill... 5.30am. Not having had much sleep on the 11 hour flight it was a bit of a struggle to function like a normal human! But Munich was fantastic, a great combination of old and modern...everyone gets around on their bikes around the city which is pretty cool. Jarrad has spent a fair bit of time in Munich so was great to be there with someone who knew all the places to go. Felt obliged to induldge as the locals do so we went to a great gourmet market and had beer ...
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic sharmandjarrad... then enjoyed a lunch of duck, dumplings and sweet and sour cabbage. I swear Greece and Czech Republic have the best food in the world. I am going to miss it. We will return tomorrow to Amsterdam to connect with our flight home. We are hoping to make the Anne Frank museum if the lines are not too long.
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic tdennissteel... region is also known for the quality of it's porcelein and we also went to one of the factories to get some porcelein dishes as well, needless to say, our suitcases will be heavy and fragile on the way home!-but it's worth it :) We head back to Prague tomorrow, so we are spending the day seeing a few more things here and getting organized for the trip back, luckily we have a ride back with Mirek's uncle. We'll update from there..... Celina and Mirek Pollos Libres
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic polloslibre... take us to visit the Hrabanek clan (he and his family are the only remaining part of the family in the Czech Republic). It's a beautiful drive from Prague to K.V. but at 120kms from Prague it still takes 2.5 hours. In K.V. we are staying with my great-aunt on my moms side the infamous teta Kvyeta. She is my grandmothers sister but closer in age to my parents so she essentially grew up with them, (she is the aunt you have that is ...
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic polloslibre... No joke. Needed to get this long one out now so the others can follow soon enough after. After an interesting year and half in Doha, Qatar I thought it was time to hit the road again and see what else is around the corner. As it turns out once again there is heaps. I arrived in London and spent a week seeing mates and going out to Wimbledon for a look ...
Cheb, Bohemia, Czech Republic ryanislost... to walk a very long distance to find ourselves at the train station, board on the train which was basic to say the least..... and arrive in Prague OVER 3 HOURS LATER grrrrrr You may want to issue return tickets when visiting Karlovy Vary... Before leaving, do try those big round wafers. You may also buy special cups and try the thermal water, but it may get messy as they advise it may be tough on your stomach... Even so, the place is crawling with WC about every hundred meters...
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic perl... would have to call ourselves tomorrow. We caught our next bus to Karlovy Vary from Prague. The bus took about 3 hours, and was very cheap, all buses in Czech were very cheap! We reached Karlovy vary at night and had a place in mind Hotel Kosmos. We booked in here for one night as it was a little pricier then we wanted to spend. WE went around Karlovy Vary for the day exploring the town. Karlovy Vary is an old ...
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic ry_nat...
