... Germans, English, Australians and Spaniards here tonight. I expect that more will still come. Tomorrow is a long day...27k. I have reserved a bed in a private Alberque so I don't need to rush. My routine is becoming to rest every hour and a half, take off my shoes and change socks at lunch and just trudge along. It is light until 9:30pm so I,m pretty sure that I will have enough ...

... In Ourense after th e Roman Bridge there are two different routes. Legend says that the Peregrinos selected which path based on which route was bing taxed by the Bishop. ... cafe-bars on the Camino. The owner makes a shell for each Peregrino and hangs it around. He also played country western greatest hits when he found out that I am from Texas. After a pretty steep descent, I ate lunch at the beautiful village of Vilar de Barrio. All of the houses had flowers. I ate lunch in restaurant by the square and started off on the very flat part of the day. It was pretty hot. As I sat by a fountain, ...

... I have decided that I will also take a 23K today rather than 32K. There is a huge mountain to scale. If I maintain my 22K or schedule after that, I will reach Santiago next Thursday. That will give me an overnight there and back to Madrid. Or perhaps, I will get my compostela in Santiago and go one night to Vigo to see the ocean. It is hard to be this close to the ocean and not see it. But that is a week away and things change every ...
