Inside the Colosseum was again mind blowing. The history that happened in here was incredible, with the poorer class sitting at the highest level (women on the very top) king and higher borns who would dress down to get up to the women, to the fights that happened in here. Our tour guide explained that if a slave wanted his freedom he had to win 5 fights, but in a lot of cases their lords would let them go due to the bravery that they even wanted to attempt ...

... vertia mouth of truth. Had to think of the movie Roman Holiday. Lunch at a very expensive restaurant as we received the bill! Then onto the circus maximus which is huge and we thought of Ben Hur and onto the Colosseum. Unbelievable so huge , high and impressive, you do have to think about the movie Gladiator apparently 60,000 slaves lost their lives here! Unfortunately we couldn't go underground as you have to book 3 weeks ahead! Here Evi and Manne and the boys left us ...

... and we understand that the room is almost a metre longer than others on the deck below. There are lots of drawers and shelves a small fridge with mini bar and the wardrobe generously takes our clothes and the suitcases. My only criticism is the type of hangar with fixed rings on the rail into which you put the hangar part so you can't move items around very easily. The bed is king size and very comfortable. We did that, checked in at one spot, had to go to another to check our bags, go through security, board another bus to actually get to the gates. Much to my amazement, we were at Gate 1.
