... s good to see that Athens values its history enough to spend lots of money on all this restoration, especially with Greece deep in an economic crisis.
But couldn’t they have waited until we passed through? We wanted to see the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena, and the other structures atop the Acropolis the way they look in all the tourist publications: uncrowded and crane-less. Oh well, maybe in 20 years….
