Things really shut down in Europe on Sundays and Szeged was no exception. It's particularly bad in smaller towns when you're hungry and everything's closed...we felt like hobos, searching for food, and especially so when we stumbled across a Knorr van offering free soup-in-a-bun samples, and dove in!<br><br>Aside from closed shops though, there were certainly more pretty buildings, and even a lovely fountain to see!<br>

... when I looked at it. I was really disappointed to discover the gallery within closed at 1, shortly after I arrived in town and long before I got to the place. Not for the gallery itself - I don't even know what it was of - but I really wanted to look around inside and see if it could possibly match the wonderfully ugly exterior. I can only imagine.
