Our hotel was the Film Hotel, just on the outskirts of the (quite small) city centre. The decor and theme was films, and filmstars - so we were in the Julia Roberts room, which we found after walking through a foyer lined with photos of films stars, man-sized Oscar statues, and other paraphernalia. The trip there was uneventful – it was cloudy and cold, but no snow, and the fields showed no sign of there ever having been any snow outside of Vienna. After checking a couple of details using the bus’ wifi, I was ready when we arrived ...

It will be amazing to see my family, their home and have a good catch up! We didn't sleep great last night, whether it was the heat or the excited feeling In my tummy I'm not sure! Again we were up early doors and we got ready to go, we both needed extra showers this morning as the night was so hot so I had mine first, Simon decided ...

Bratislava – Not a cool place!

I have been to many many places and late afternoon arrived in Bratislava the capital of Slovakia which was once part of the Czechoslovak republic. It may sound disappointing but a fact is a fact- This is not a cool place. (More on that later)

Graz, where I left from this morning, is near the border of Hungary. My Austrian Vignette (temporary road tax for 10 days) had expired so ...
