... one of the most famous Churches in Venice. It was built to thank Mary for saving Venice from the Black Plague around the 15th century. Once we had explored the amazing Church we continued to walk around. We came across this gelato shop in which we had been to once before last time we came to Venice. It was called Nico's. They have delicious ice cream that is to die for. I bought straciella ( which is ...

... Venice by ferry (a leisurely journey of 70 minutes to Giglio, the stop nearest our hotel) the sun sank below the horizon with a magnificent sunset painting my dream city in shades of gold, and the sky pink and apricot. ... this journey was. Once again, I was a fly on the wall, thoroughly enjoying myself, and taking mental notes of everything going on. I admire all parents who travel internationally with children. Or travel at all. Or leave the house with their children. They require so much! Babies are basically tiny drunk people. Just giggling, pooping, sobbing drunk people. Julia and Jackson are absolutely adorable though. I took about twenty videos just of them giggling. We stayed near a beach ...

Travel day today. Didn't stop Andrew taking dozens of photos I have to go through!! The scenery near the Austrian/ Italian border was amazing......tall rugged mountains topped with snow and rivers flowing with pale blue glacial water beside the road. We had a few roadside stops along the way....all the road stops are excellent....put our fast food roadhouses to shame. Beautiful fresh ...
