    ... an experience standing on deck and seeing beautiful Venice disappear behind us. Arrivederci Venezia!!!!! We have been assigned the first sitting for dinner which is at 6.30pm at the La Fontaine Restaurant. After a scrumptious a la carte dinner and champagne we head to the theatre for the show passing another four night clubs on the way. There are too many bars, restaurants and night clubs on this ship...too many decisions to make :-) Great first day on board. I am loving this ...

    ... Street Food and despite the english name the pasta and panini were very good. We ate our lunch at the well in the square outside St Maurizio church. After we had eaten we meandered to San Marco and then onto the Rialto Bridge browsing the shops and people watching. The weather was superb, sunny, warm and a cool breeze when under the shade.     ... the dead' San Michele at the end of the street across the lagoon when I realised this was the street grieving relatives came up to catch the boat to the island. I ended up doing the same, by accident not design, got the wrong ferry. Had a look round anyway and boy the Europeans do death differently, some of the family mausoleums are lavish.
