      I woke about 5am this morning - it's travelling day. I don't think I have had to use the alarm on the phone yet. My early mornings drive Tor crazy, but there you go. Apart from that we have been good travelling companions which has been really lovely. She is getting a real kick out of it all and it's been great for me to see some of the places I've seen before through her eyes.       ... basilica but unfortunately it was closed so we started to walk back to Grom for a gelato. We reached Grom and each got a medium cup of gelato. I got chocolate and dark chocolate, I liked it a lot and wanted more. We couldn't get more so we headed of to get all the dead skin on our feet eaten by the little fishes. We finally got to the shop which was called 'little kisses'. We had to wash our feet then put shower caps on our feet. Amelia could not do it because she had a blister ...

      ... I quite quickly became full, which I really should have seen coming, but I am a pig and forced myself to have the penne pesto too. I was just SO full that a third of the way into it, I was literally spearing one penne at a time. I had to keep eating. The pesto flavours would every now and then be inside the penne tube and it was exquisite.

      I'm glad I just had my world shaken.

      ... covering Venice Sestieri (sections ?) of San Croce, Dorsoduro, San Polo, Cannaregio, San Marco and Castello. Our hotel was located in the Dorsoduro area. We crossed over many Rio's on many different Ponte's to get to many Fondamenta's to move throughout this very interesting city.

      Great food again - pizza, pasta and more.
