... course of filet mignon, Argentine grilled fish, roasted vegetables and a risotto-like rice dish. It was very good, on par with what you would expect from the buffet at an upscale hotel.
After walking back to the room, I was pretty beat and knew that I had to be up by 7am the next day, which would feel like 1am in California, so it was time to shower, get a few work emails out, and hit the hay.
After a really hot and humid and very sunny day, we had a delightful and dramatic storm that cooled things off dramatically.

Sunday morning walk up to the Jardim Orquideas and then back down the along the marginal before lunch in the mercado.
A lot of flowering trees and things... noticed a liguiambar (from the states) in the jardim... also a teeny tiny apple like plant... it seems pretty happy.
A nice Saturday morning walk about Amparo with the obligatory visit to the door at 253 Rua Quintino Bocai˙va, no centro de Amparo where I have been taking pics for years... very clear, very hot... so we decided there was only one solution... ums chope e dois pastel!
