... ll stay another night, so that we can try to get a water filter in Beziers. No joy at the two truma agents. They don't use the kind of water filling systems in France, they just bung a hose pipe into a hole in the side. I will have to order from Amazon and get them sent. What is really sad is that loads of Plane trees are being cut down along the canal du midi. Apparently they have a disease and will be replanted, but cruising along the canal will now be in bright ...

So the carnival is over and we pack up and spend a night at Fanjeaux before journeying to the Weedons at Villemagne. A week of R&R with friends. A week spent visiting some new places and revisiting old ones - Castelnaudary, Carcassonne, Mazeres and Revel. Lunch in out of the way village bars and coffee in market squares. ... Still trying to get to grips with what is going on here. Charles, who owned the chateau and sold it to Karina and Craig, is still involved and is basically project manager. He, unsurprisingly, is not terribly happy to share the responsibilities with me. ... funny watching it take off. Apparently called a Beluga Airbus as it looks like the whale. The front or tail section swing around for loading.

Well I am off to have a cool drink before we board our flight to Singapore (may even make it a g&t). We are really looking forward to arriving home. We have had a wonderful time over the past 5 weeks but we are ready to get home.

... aim is to reach Carcassonne and back again in the week which should be reasonable travelling.
Meanwhile we are enjoying this little campsite, I saw a Hoopee yesterday so we are going for a walk today to see what else we can see along the riverside.
There are many wildflowers on the campsite, blue cornflowers and other shades; cosmos brightly coloured; poppies and marigolds growing amogst the wild grasses; it's so pretty.
