... country style pâté and salad with coarse whole wheat bread, Flemish beef stew cooked with beer with apple sauce and frites, pana cotta covered with chocolate sauce and egg liqueur. ... we stopped and took photos.

Jumping back on the bikes, we rode into town, found the square, parked the bikes up in the sun, grabbed some beers and were mobbed, the bikes were superstars !!! So many people wanted to stop and talk, photos were taken, beers were drunk, and 90 minutes later, we finally crossed our finish line !!!

Dinner was held in Gent, and to celebrate finishing, we polished off a plate of Flemish stew with frites !!!
