... my passport checked only to see that Zach hadn't made it very far. The guard wouldn't let him through without seeing our hotel reservation and plane tickets out of Belgium. I got them out and the guy spent what seemed like 20 minutes inspecting them. Finally we got the ok to go through, but honestly we didn't know if our train had left yet. We ran frantic as hell... and made it by about 2 minutes. My nerves were shot.

... their facades, but gutted inside to accommodate Zaras and H&M stores. Strange... Decided to pop back to the hotel for a break before dinner. Kicked back for a while and drank fruit beer. All really good. Decided to risk the Italian place down the road for dinner since it had awful reviews on Trip Advisor. It was alright. Kept wandering around town and picked up some gelato as well. ... outdoor café where a high hedge of recently burst leaves shade a courtyard in which we listen to bird song and church bells while munching a croquet monsieur and sipping a Trappist ale. A very peaceful way to spend our next to last full day in Belgium.
