      I gave a presentation about my time here this morning (I did it in English but included Portuguese subtitles) and everyone was very kind in what they said about me; they even got me a Brazilian football shirt!       Also lots of international IAESTE students (most are European) have started placements now in the first week of August and we all met up for food on monday night. A few were at a republica party last night, which was quite good and very organized; you need to prepurchase tickets, they hire security for the gate and there is a last entry time!
      Off to Foz this weekend, flying from Campinas tonight, looking forward to not taking a bus!
