... thinking outside the box of my own culture; learning new things. Every Romanian woman knows how to do this; it is so simple to them but I am not Romanian. What is simple to one person or a given is not to another. I am an Australian and I can do something Romanian-that's cool!

Sandu comes over and shows me how to cut grass Romanian style-do you know some of these people don't use a mower. It's certainly a good way to get fit but I am terrible at it! You have ...

... what a cut can do-that's what makes me look the most different. It sort of can transform. Now I look modern-that's cool too! :)

After our hair appointment we meet Don and Gheorghe at a pub owned by Leonard Doroftei. Now he sort of looks familiar and he is; he is this famous boxer-won the world title and stuff. He seems lovely and keeps on chatting to us and then shows Raluca and I at one point around the pub. I feel so bad cause I am in the presence of some ...

... I don't know what it would be like in a Romanian city.

In Romania soft drink is referred to as juice, "suc". So juice and fizzy drink are sort of interchangeable and you have it at breakfast too. I know this sounds totally lame but I felt like such a rebel having sprite at 9:30am in the morning for breakfast, however, when in Romania...

Today was a quite day. We went into town and had coffee and cake at my ...

... you should see the cakes-mouth watering pieces of delicacy. We buy some cakes(yay-I will get to eat them) and go to the pizzeria where Raluca's dad works.

Raluca's dad is an amazing chef-his pizza is so good; as good as the Italian stuff and that says something. Once we finish there it is dark and we need to go to the beauty salon to get our hair and nails done. I don't know why I actually get my nails done, nail polish never stays on me. Beauty Salons are so cheap ...

... no idea how special it would be.

Ironically for such a great trip the plane ride was a non event. I fell asleep straight away and literally for most of the three hour flight. That didn't happen to me before I came to Europe but now I fall asleep often. Unfortunately for Don, my landlord, he couldn't fall asleep which is highly unusual for him!

Cornell, Stella's guy comes to pick us up from the airport. He is a natural ...
