Jelenia Góra ('deer mountain') is about couple of hours south from Wroclaw (trains or buses). It is close to the Karkonosze mountain range running along the Polish-Czech border. Only 10-15 km of the town there are few ski resorts such as Karpacz, Szklarska Poreba.
Nice, colorful Market Square, Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre, Saint Cross Church, the Old Town are just few places worth of seeing.

al the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec,harrochov,cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times,they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads

... takze sme vybrali nase jesenne vertovky, ktore s nami precestovali pol sveta za posledny tyzden a mohli sme objavovat mesto pred nami. Liberec ma krasny architekturu z cias ked to bolo druhe najvyznamnejsie mesto v Cechach. Jeho odevnicky a tkacsky priemysel je preslaveny v celom byvalom Ceskoslovensku.

... yummi! As I have to go to Tabor to get my bicycle I will not spend my last night at her place, so yesterday we had a good night out to say goodbye...playing darts, pool biljart and so on! Even met a mongolian guy in one of the places. Really funny, he was very surprised when I spoke something in his own language! POLSKI: Z jednej strony sie ciesze, z drugiej jest mi troche ciezko na duszy. Typowy dla mnie syndrom konca jakiejs podrozy. Dzis powinnismy dotrzec do domu... W Pradze dotarlismy do stacji metra "Cerny most" i stamtad wsiedlismy w autokar Student Agency do Liberca. Tam okazalo sie, ze wiekszosc osob jezdzi do Polski przez Niemcy, co dla nas bylo bez sensu.
