... out for two hours and came back having bought her car. No problem. But when Diana found out, oh my god hell broke lose! She was so jealous and so angry for seemingly no reason, she was screaming and crying - in front of her friends - whilst Nat was laughing so hard she was crying! After ten minutes of this (whilst I was trying to talk to mum on the phone) she grabbed her bag and stormed out the door to go car shopping. Nat’s new car is a lot prettier and ...

          Second Week Down

A travel blog entry by stephenie.kopil on Jun 29, 2013

Hello dearest friends, I cannot believe that I am coming to the completion of my second week here in Soto. It's been an absolute adventure for sure. I have been blessed with a wonderful family here, I cannot even begin to express my gratefulness to them. Last Sunday, I was sick and Juani and Antonio took such great care of me, as if I was their own daughter. In fact, Antonio said to me, "Now I have ...

On this one particular thirty minute drive, we stalled out at least five times, once in the middle of an intersection, almost got into three wrecks, literally an inch from ...

A travel blog entry by stephenie.kopil on Jun 18, 2013

Today was a phenomenal start to the trip. I woke up this morning, drank two cups of espresso, cooked an egg and ate it with bread and pâté. Then, I turned on Kung Fu Panda in Spanish. Probably the best decision I have made since I got here! Learned how to say "ayudame". Needless to say, I'll be watching that every morning. After breakfast I took a ...

Wow. The last day has been an absolute whirlwind. I finally reached Madrid after a long day of traveling to be greeted by my sweet, sweet host family. After getting my bags and finding out that I did not have to go through customs, I had a great feeling about Madrid. They literally stamped my passport and said, "Have fun"! We walked out of the airport and got ...
