Second Week Down

A travel blog entry by stephenie.kopil

Hello dearest friends, I cannot believe that I am coming to the completion of my second week here in Soto. It's been an absolute adventure for sure. I have been blessed with a wonderful family here, I cannot even begin to express my gratefulness to them. Last Sunday, I was sick and Juani and Antonio took such great care of me, as if I was their own daughter. In fact, Antonio said to me, "Now I have ...

It's official. I am obsessed with Madrid.

After getting my bags and finding out that I did not have to go through customs, I had a great feeling about Madrid. They literally stamped my passport and said, "Have fun"! We walked out of the airport and got ...

Miscellenea from Espana

A travel blog entry by dennis.deneuto

... of Aranjuez was actually closed the day that we visited, which is of course a perfect excuse to go back again for a further visit. The gardens are huge and you can spend a good portion of your day wandering around them. Part of them was the original hunting ground for the royalty who lived in the palace, using it mainly as a summer residence. The town of Aranjuez was built purely to service the palace, which for me is a strange concept. To build an entire town just to provide services ...
