Literally. The past few weekends all the cows and goats are being brought down from the high pastures where they have been grazing for the summer. It's a pretty big deal in the villages - called Almabtried - and the usually Saturday market is ramped up to include traditional music, crafts, and an extra selection of beer, schnapps, sausage, cheese and bread (can you hear my gut gurgle!). Not very exciting for the non-golfers but today we went to the lovely nearby village of Goldegg to play golf. The weather was perfect and the course was just beautiful.
