... red rocks of Sedona in Arizona towering above the most pristine waters of the Indian Ocean.

The only downside was that the granite cliff faces next to the roads were so steep and the roads were so narrow there were very few places to stop off and take photos. And I'm sure that the photos that we did take in no way do this place the justice it deserves. At times the roads were so tiny and the drop offs so steep that I momentarily feared for my ...

... a grocery store about 10 minutes from our hotel and got a yummy cheese, smoked prosciutto, bread and a beautiful little piece of pork pate with black truffles in it. Our room wasn't ready so we walked across the street and sat on a bench over looking the Mediterranean sea. It was gorgeous. We just can't get over the colors of the water. It is so crystal clear. I'll bet the snorkeling is amazing here.

... the risotto. Anne was delighted that she was having all the wonderful vegetables she saw at the market and didn't have to cook any of them, although she now has lots of ideas for a new spring menu. Returning to the hotel mid-afternoon, we relaxed in the gardens by the pool area until time for dinner. (If you are getting the impression we are doing a lot of eating here, you are ...
