We wandered the town of St Florent, had drinks at a local café/bar with a view of the ship out in the bay. Jamie had a coke and I had a Colomba beer, a local unfiltered beer with local herbs (myrtle). We were back for a 1:30 seafood lunch at the Colonnade

Then relaxing by the pool and reading. It was Jamie's birthday today and our stewardess filled the rooms ...

He wanted to leave from the tiny village/bay of Macinagio, at the Cap Corce (tip of Corsica). In theory, if we begin our now 17 hour run to Cannes, we could leave early around 4:30a.m. of the 8th, and be in Cannes by 8:00p.m. that same night. ... office, on yet another gas dock. Thanks to Stephen (and Phillipe), they were totally expecting us, and had a pilot boat aid in our unbelievable turns. Now, that we are all tied up, safe and sound, all of us could enjoy our first cup of coffee, and a small breakfast. Let me see what can I tell you about our "Weather delay". Hummmm.... We do not know how long we will be here, maybe as much as 3 days. It is a little over 120 miles to Cannes from here, ...

... so gracious in helping us for the last five days, and a part of me is so sorry to see them go. But luckily, we will see them again in Cannes, for a couple of dinners. Our new crew member, Stephen, joined us. He has had significant boating experience, and had crewed on several classic boats in the past. He is married, with a 7 year old daughter, and lives in Toulon, France. Stephen bares an un-canny resemblance to Leonardo de Caprio. Stephen will be sailing with us, as ...
