    ... so I had a relaxing time ...broccoli for lunch while streaming state of origin on my iPad ... I was pretty happy. Go maroons !! It was mild and nice to not be sweating today and where some jeans again ...Few episodes of homeland and then thought I should get off my butt and do something. Take a train...now that would be different ..up the mountain to Wengen ....it looks down on the valley that Lauterbrunnen is ...

    When we reached the top it was overcast with the cloud threatening to drop onto the tops of the runs. The snow conditions, after the recent falls, were excellent and we set of for an easy run down to the Mannlichen chair. This was then followed by a run to the Lager chair.     ... and were delighted to be invited for a drink out in the sun. We had a good chat about who was still around, and generally caught up on things, including where we were living etc, and after probably an hour or so we decided to keep moving down the hill. Alan gave us directions to walk to Gimmelwald where we could catch the cable car down the last section (and the walk would only take about 30 mins), but as soon as we left we could feel our legs calling for the cable car - the rest did ...

    ... tape and then gave up, until one of his so called friends had a brainwave and suggested using cling film to hold the tin foil in place. Very creative. They used the whole roll of industrial sized cling film and proceeded out. As they were dancing the night away later on, Gareth said he started to feel a bit short of breath, which apparently happens when a short fat chubby man dances anyway (his words not ours). It turns out he had to be cut out of his cling film attire by paramedics. ...

    We drove out of Konstance from a back road and through what looked like could have been border control into Switzerland. It was a Sunday, so figured it's their day off. Have to buy a vignette before we go onto any major roads, so at the next service station we stop to purchase this road toll tax.
    The rolling countryside is as expected, and is just lovely. It's funny how within just a few k's over the border, houses, countryside etc changes dramatically. ...
