We took the side road to Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Hohe. You're right up in amongst the mountains with fantastic views of Mt Grossglockner and a glacier. There's also a car exhibition here too. ... go and I went sliding towards the wall. On two occasions I switched off the engine and put my feet down to steady the bike and then used the clutch as a brake on the rear wheel.

As I headed downwards the mist got thicker and thicker and at times I could only see a few feet ahead.

Having ice on a road is a big enough problem in itself but trying to see where it is and see where the road even is in this very thick mist was simply just a total nightmare!! To make it ...

... breaks up and changes to blue one then realises that those peaks we first saw are only the smaller peaks. Hidden by all the cloud were even higher peaks and this just takes away any imagination of what size these mountains really are. It is simply a awesome sight.

Finally its getting late and darkness is creeping in so its time to u-turn and head back to camp. Its now about 20h30 and for sure I am ready to relax.
