    ... from a boat called Albatross that cabin boy had acquired when getting a guided tour the night before. He has his uses!! As we landed on shore we noticed there was lots of jelly fish who seemed to like basking on the warm springs then beaching themselves to dry out!     ... and mud baths for the girls. A calm night on anchor in low winds in quiet bay watching the volcano erupt sounded fab! Saying of the day from Scott " will be good to see it spewing like a cabin boy".     ... in Tokyo on a Vespa, we both decided immediately that this was not the way to travel for us! Instead we opted to go round Lipari literally, by boat. The day trip in a smaller boat, with 12 passengers, also included circumnavigating the adjoining island of Salina, stopping in two delightful ports, and also stopping for swims in the clear blue Tyrrhenian Sea.     After a rushed start we arrived safely at Catania airport with plenty of time to spare - thank you Mt Etna for not erupting or billowing clouds of ash into the atmosphere so we could depart on time!
