... we went to see and in Altea there was a beautiful rocky beach where Cristina and I had a really good heart to heart about our lives. Hehe, so corny but it was really good. I <3 her mucho!~! I love good listeners since I'm such a big talker, tehe, but I love talkers too, which thank goodness both Elizabeth and Cristina are!~!
And hollaback at that anchor!~! DG love!~! o--+--)
... I wish my friends could be here with me. I know they would love this place. I wish they could visit. But all in all, I know that I have to do this on my own, though I'm lucky to have found such a great friend and companion in Elizabeth.
I hope that Alicante becomes someplace that I treasure forever. And more so that I learn Spanish and that it shows me that I can do something great, be something great, and be me. At my best.
... with: "What nationality are you?" I stared at him blankly and replied "British", I joked, "this is the BRITISH consulate". He then wisely replied "no, no. Many people don´t realise this but Britain actually consists of England, Scottland, and Wales". At this point someone else sitting behind, him who we had previously spoke to, started to silently cry laughing. I replied "yeh, I know but....." He then interupted me and said "no, your not hearing me, the Island ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... odd receptionists we actuially managed to book ourselves a room each with en suite facilities for 7 euros. Unbelievable. I cant tell you how amazing it was to have this luxuory. Right, well lets make the most of this and shave, maybe we will meet some people. And so we did. There were two Belgian (Vince and Miguel) and three German dudes (Hanas, Alex2, Garret) cooking, all of which turned out to be ...
Alacant, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01First of all I can´t believe we actually survived the night. Whats more is that the lizards and cockroaches running around didnt go near me. Thats a good start.
Never see famous people in England , yet you cycle 1500 miles to a supermarket in the middle of Spain you find Tony Robbinson. Amazing. Then we ate big food ...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2009! Before I start, I must apologise for all my spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in the last entry - I really must have been tired, it was dreadful! Anyway, hope you at least got the gist of it all ie: in Spain, settling in, enjoying it and celebrating Christmas season. We got to Christmas Eve, and it was quiet. In fact everything was really quiet, the stores, the streets, the bars etc ...
