The 5am wake up call was not nice after only a couple of hours sleep. Luckily the minibus stopped at out lodge first and I was able to nab a seat in the front, leg room and a window - massive score! ... by putting most of the weight down at the hips, but it didn’t seem to be working very well. We stopped for lunch once we were aware that we had crossed the highest point on the hike and had turkey sandwitches. The total days hike was 6 hours, starting through local farmland, into the cloud forrest and then finally above the clouds we had the easiest part of the hike to the campsite. Once we had our camp all set up a couple of the guys decided to hike up to the summit to see if they could get a view of the sunset.
