... she explained it was cool enough to wander around town with her own home-made chocolate cake. She certainly does well with the tourists, though she needs to carry more change with her! Otherwise, it was a magnificent slice of cake and I cleared up any crumbs that had been spilt after devouring this tasty treat. The taste of the chocolate I should add, remained with me for 20 mins after eating it. Read the first part here to see the history of chocolate and the Mayas:

... project. The schoolgrounds were clean and free of trash, and the school had been recently painted.

The Xecnup school was likewise in excellent condition, clean and free of trash. There are now 228 students attending grades 1-6 with 6 teachers (that's a 38:1 ratio!) Three years ago the community also acquired the only middle school in the nearby area -- the closest one is an hour's drive ...

Slept okeish, woke up at 4.30am feeling sweaty and cold (how is that possible?!?) and it was still raining!

Pretty much lied down in bed for another hour and then off we go! Boat trip back to Rio Dulce town and then on the crampiest bus/van ever. Drew the short straw and got the back window seat - eeek this is going to be an uncomfortable 10hr journey - tis 7.30am
Eddie lied again, got to Guatemala City at around 1.30pm ...

... and that she was trusting in Him. Gradually as she was in her garden her sight came back.

About 5 days later, she had an appointment with an ophthalmologist, and they needed to redo the tests as it had been a year. After the tests, they told her that she had no evidence of glaucoma. She knew when her miracle occurred--there in the garden. It was an incredible showing of God's power and majesty to the doctors.

After a freezing night on the bus (even if it was comfortable seats - the cold still is the stand out part of that journey) we arrived in Guatemala City. We then got transferred to a small shuttle to sit around and the make the last of the trip to Antigua. Somewhere in this process Isaacs wallet disappeared (despite being with his phone and the phone staying in place)... Which meant that this day was a tad stressful.
